Extra Life

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Last weekend our friends over at Epic Default Productions took part in Extra Life, a 24 hour gaming marathon raising money for pediatric cancer research and treatment at Texas Childrens Hospital. The guys managed to play the entire 24 hours plus change (they were in the middle of a Boom Blox battle, they couldn’t just put down their Wiimotes because the 24 hours was up!). They also had a little help from friends, including me amusing them with many interesting ways of dying horribly in GTA4 Party Mode, thanks to the many wonders of the interwebs and online multiplayer. They got through a lot of games including a horrific Singstar Marathon from DJ and Tony.

Anyway, over the 24 hour period, Extra Life raised $98,591 for their cause which is amazing, congratulations and kudos to all who were involved! (UPDATE: The total still has extra donations coming in and is currently at $106,000! HOLY CRAP!) Go check out their site for pictures and videos which they will be posting soon and also their new episode which I guested on, part 1 is up now and part 2 will be up soon. Jonny promises.
